Apparently good quality. Installed on my 6

Looks high quality. Installed this on my 6.2 diesel to make it easier to start in winter. Keeps the engine warm and cold starts much easier. Time will tell if it holds up, but so far so good.

Pros
  • volts: 120 | Tue: 600 | Plug type: 120 volt, 15 amp (Type A)
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Should help with winter starts

The actual installation of the product was simple and easy, it was not possible to remove the plug from the block and flush the engine. I am very satisfied with this fan heater. I installed it on a temporary outlet in my garage.

Pros
  • Installation type: vehicle specific
Cons
  • Quality

Works very well. for parts

Used on an International 464 tractor that would not start in this severe freeze. Very easy to assemble, unplug, plug in and tighten screw, fill with coolant. About 1.5 hours passed and the coolant and block were good and warm.

Pros
  • For a quick winter start and less engine wear
Cons
  • Clarity

OEM identical! in engine heaters

These heaters are the same as the original GM heaters found on 88-99 GM C/K vehicles and I'm sure they could have been used for other purposes as well. And I might add, for a lot less! You live in the cold, I highly recommend these fan heaters.

Pros
  • for Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ford, Mercury, Lincoln, Jeep, Pontiac, Continental, Oldsmobile. See Zero Start Catalog for specific applications.
Cons
  • Modern

Worked well for the money.

First let me say you CANNOT just plug them in and leave them overnight. I burned two before I found out. At least not here in Tennessee. Maybe, if you're somewhere where it stays below zero for a long time that would be good. Well, otherwise they're pretty good. It gets cold enough in here that you want to warm up your diesel a bit, but not so cold that you want to warm it up the whole need night, I think After all, this engine heater does what it promises for its money.

Pros
  • 1-5/8" diameter
Cons
  • Repair
