Beautiful gold chain! The best in transmission components

This was delivered today and I am in the process of converting the rear hollow axle on my e-bike. So I added a chain because the old one had at least 1000 miles on it. Know more about running! Strong look. Thanks!

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.

looks good, doesn't last long!

Update: Wear and tear, no more than 300 miles. I weigh 200 pounds and use all chains but am still very lucky to find a gold shift chain at a very reasonable price. made an old Huffy trail bike really cool. shifts beautifully with the new 6-speed cluster. Thank you.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Operating speed

Chain works great on my 1990 Cannondale Black Lightning

Got this for my 1990 Cannondale Black Lightning that I have refurbished. It has a 7-speed SunTour Sprint 9000 shifter and the original chain was gold to match the original black and gold color scheme. Moves great and looks great!

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Change

Didn't work on my GT Aggressor

Although it should be a perfect replacement, the chain links were slightly smaller than the original links and resulted in skipped gears. It was on the GT Aggressor. The tool hung all the time and half the handle broke off. Not a good buy. Maybe you have better luck ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Negative impression

Perfect for what I need

Conversion of an old 1973 Schwinn Continental into a basic single speed. Using a 3/32 inch chain made things easy and this gold chain is easy to install and looks really great! While the quality isn't the best (there is a certain sloppiness in the way the plates press against each other) it looks like I made a good purchase with this one. Definitely not disappointed.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Almost OK

Not happy with this chain.

Well, I got myself a silver chain with hollow links, put it on and tested it. I had a small crack in the circuit when I turned off the power. So this isn't the first chain I've installed and my bike is a 2020 Specialized Allez that's 8 months old. I clean my chain very well once a week to make sure my cassette isn't worn out.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Not bad

Slick chain is best for cycling.

. I was surprised at first, the chain was fairly lubricated with silicone grease (I use silicone grease to prevent dirt buildup and wear). The chain fits. I have an old European made road bike and as the chain was broken I didn't check the dimensions closely, the new chain works but maybe half a link too long, it's loose hence the lower rating. Used once and now I have an old flat tire.

Pros
  • . Easy to assemble.
Cons
  • . Good, but not great.

Fragile Connections. Parts and components

The quality of the metal is quite thin, I installed it on a 1987 Bianchi 7 speed and after 8 miles of driving the chain started to skip, I noticed the link came loose fortunately I brought brought a chain tool and was able to put the link back together, after a few more miles it started falling apart again. I had to remove the bad link, which shortened the chain significantly. I have it on a new cassette and the chainring is in very good condition so I know it's not the gearing. I was veryโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Some imperfections
