Excellent flashlights. I have two and I bought one for a friend. I consider them excellent energy saving and compact lamps. They attach securely to the terrarium's mesh lids, allowing you to lift the lid without moving the lamp. Because of their compact size, they can also be placed in many fences. This also makes them more versatile when creating sun/hot spots or lighting effects than their larger counterparts. Fifty-watt light bulbs are good for dessert animals and large closets. 25W lamps…

i love the size! Works perfectly!

Bought for my Texas spiny lizard. It is stored in a regular 10 gallon tank with a Zilla 20x10 mesh lid. To save money I bought 40 watt G9 bulbs from CBconcept (10 pieces, 500 lumens, 2700K). When I attach the dome to the screen cover, the temperature at the bottom of my tank reaches 108 degrees (11 inches from the bulb), which is too hot. Aquarium and the temperature reaches 99 degrees. At this temperature, my lizard has yet to leave the bathing area to cool off before returning. Which is…

Lower the temperature with black paint!

I love the size and quality of these domes. I bought 10 in the last year. They work great with 25w and 50w zilla heat lamps. If you have a smaller tank and don't need as much heat, you can use 25W and paint the bottom black to reduce the heat. I recently bought 2 short tanks for 2 small king snakes. The heat emanating from 25w bulbs was in the high 90s. I needed closer to 80*. I used Krylon Black Enamel spray paint on the chrome reflector and it brought the temperature down to just over 80C*…
