This band is amazing! I live in Florida and the sun was constantly drying my dikor and grinding on the bulkhead. I had to refill chalk every few months due to cracks. pain in my @$! This tape applied easily, the width was good enough to cover the volumetric head tape. I used rubbing alcohol to clean the area, then applied masking tape and used the roller that came with it to press it down. I glued and glued it well, and the next day cats and dogs fell into it. Let me start by saying that this product got 5 stars on every aspect except ease of use. This material is very sticky, so much so that the pad is difficult to remove even if left in to cool. Like I said, the stuff does what it's supposed to. I used it to seal the seams on my dad's van. It worked like a charm. This stuff sucks, if you can miraculously peel off the clear plastic underneath the tape then you can actually use this stuff. I first went through a 50ft roll of Eternibond and bought some cheap cocoas and they were both the same. I even left them in a nice cool place before using them as most people recommend. Product used to re-seal the EPDM lap joint on the front cover of my camper van. The product was quite suitable for this purpose. The non-stick backing on the adhesive was torn three times around the edge leaving a strip of the backing on the adhesive. Luckily I discovered this before attempting to press the product in place and was able to remove this strip by pulling where it came loose. First of all this tape did exactly what I needed and closed the tear on the pop up window. However, there are a few steps you need to take to ensure the installation doesn't turn into a mess. As others have said, put the tape in the fridge for as long as possible. The colder it is (not frozen) the easier it is to work with - pre-cut tape to length without covering backing and put back in fridge (cold tape is key!) - DO NOT APPLY IN THE SUN! - Use a needle. I can finally use this. First, when it's warm, the glue is very sticky. The back is really difficult to launch and sometimes breaks when pulled back. One thing I did to support this was put the roll in the fridge for a few hours. This will make the adhesive less sticky/stringy when trying to start the backing.
