Best open source monitoring tool ever

The best thing about zipkis, it's easy integration with other services like k8s etc., so that we can easily track our application flow across multiple applications/services without writing any code ourselves or using third party tools for this purpose only. There are some minor issues which I have faced while integrating my project but nothing major as of now. If you're looking out an alternative way then go ahead otherwise use their paid version too because free versions has limited features…

Pros
  • Easy Integration
  • Custom Metrics support
  • Monitoring Application Performance.
  • Faster than others in terms processing speed & latency when integrated within Spring Boot microservice environment
Cons
  • Secret

Great tool for application performance monitoring

I liked that it was easy to integrate with other tools, such as Prometheus. This made monitoring my services much easier than if they were not using this tool. The UI for some features could be improved - especially when used via API, where you have to use an SDK or REST client to get access. Also sometimes there are issues logging into their dashboard from certain locations. If you're looking for something which provides detailed insights into your application's performance, then try out…

Pros
  • In addition these logs provided information regarding how many requests failed per minute etc., so helped us determine whether any specific service needed attention more often vs others
Cons
  • Almost never

Easy to use distributed tracing system; open source and free

I like that it supports open source languages, such as Java or Golang; so we can use our favorite language for building services with it! The documentation isn't very clear about how you should write your code (it's not easy!). If you have some experience with other systems, then this will be easier. We are solving issues related to performance of applications built using different programming models - Go/Golangs, NodeJS etc. The best thing about zipkin is that it can be used with any language,

Pros
  • It’s Open Source
  • You donΒ΄t need extra components.
  • Easy configuration process in Kafka environment(Kubernetes)
  • Very active community support available through slack channel & Github issue tracker
Cons
  • Incomplete docs
  • Not much help regarding writing custom exporter

Excellent choice in container logging software

I like that it's easy for developers of all levels, from newbies right up into senior staff members with some tech background (including myself), can use this product without needing much training or support assistance when first getting started - just point-and-click! The only thing we don't really love about zipkincore at present time are its performance characteristics within our application/microservices architecture when running multiple nodes simultaneously; as such there may be…

Pros
  • I like that it's simple and easy to set up, deploy, and maintain on a day to day basis; and that it's great for monitoring and managing service uptime and errors
Cons
  • I dislike that there are some limitations in its ability to monitor some specific aspects of your architecture such as the HTTP requests/responses, and the HTTP status codes it can record
