I love the roller skates, my son loves them. However, when they arrived, they had several paint defects on the trucks. They were stiff but my son figured them out and now they ride great. Without the chipped paint they would have earned 5 stars.

I'm a former speed skater and I recover easily if I try. I thought it would be fun but they were tricky! I immediately realized that it was a bad idea to keep trying and learning how to use them without all the protective gear. Nothing for children and beginners.

I bought this item for my children. It arrived quickly and without damage. My kids love it and have a lot of fun. However, it takes time for them to get good. Judging by the attached photos, it is made of good materials and is very durable. I highly recommend this product if you want to try drift skateboarding.

To be honest I haven't used them for a while because I sprained my ankle very badly (separate incident) shortly after I got them and I haven't tried them again. What I can say is that I watched a few videos and tried them well before the accident and still couldn't capture that motion and movement. I think I need a smoother surface with some sort of wall to rest my hands on to get started. I want to love her and get used to her, so I'll keep trying, but it's very difficult.

I've ridden it all over campus. Great way to get around. Much better than a skateboard in terms of mobility and riding on hills or in crowds. If you like it enough I highly recommend new wheels and bearings. I use JMK Proformance wheels which ended up costing about the same as skates alone but well worth it. Edge protectors help protect the soundboards and prevent them from splintering, but they are not strictly necessary.

It's hard to learn but I knew it and I did it. The bearings on the three wheels are in good condition and the wheels seem to turn well. However, the bearings on the fourth wheel continue to deteriorate, and the wheel cannot continue to rotate for more than a split second when yanked into the air. This is a worthy pair to learn to rollerblad. But that's all you need ONLY to learn how to do the moves. If you buy this don't expect them to get better. I've had them for four days and they're already chipped. And they have a big logo on the top of the deck so you lose a lot of tape for your feet. Their wheels are square rather than round. If you think freeskating is fun but not sure you can learn it and not spend $120 for a pair of premium -JMK skates looking to invest then This is a great starter pair. I bought them because I wanted to see if I could even learn to skate in the freestyle.
