DO NOT BUY! The ratchet lock does not fully engage the teeth, so your antenna will not fit snugly into the base. I've tried contacting support and they're sending a new one. TO UPDATE. I got a replacement and it works perfectly. Excellent customer service. Thank you Zomchain!

This is a great mount and very secure with an 8ft antenna. The only small problem is that when you put it up and down it doesn't hold anything so it shrinks. You can't really hand tighten it, so you'll need a flat head if you open and close it more than a few times. In addition, it is a really good strong suspension.

Ratchet Spanner Clamps Arrived. I should have returned it immediately but I thought I could use brute force to fix the problem but I couldn't. After all my efforts, the product is scratched and cannot be returned for a long time. Now I have to buy another one and I don't think it will be Zonchain. Well, live and learn.

The ratchet on the antenna is very difficult to adjust to hold the antenna in place and can cause the antenna to move when boating in rough water. or when the antenna is lowered while the boat is being towed. If the stop was higher in a tight position I think it would make setting easier. If I buy another mount it will be a plastic model. BUT, it looks really good because of the chrome finish!

Good for anyone who had issues with the tight fit, I had the same issue and wanted to return it to a better brand. but. I decided to dig into it. So if someone else gets one and it comes loose, it's not hard to fix, but it's not as simple as just tightening the hinge bolt. First remove the lock nut and once it is removed you can tighten the large slotted screw on the other side. DO NOT BUY! Teeth will not engage when tightened. Update I first ordered this antenna holder through Revain and when I received it the teeth did not mesh tightly and the two sides could still rotate. by request. Just got a replacement, this one was slightly better but still wouldn't let the teeth mesh and the leveling clamp never binds, it just spins. This product and the overall quality control if any is absolutely terrible. I think if it shines it's good enough. I will be returning both sets…
