2 of these lamps died after about two months despite being in the correct holder and only being used a few hours a day. I am not satisfied at all with the quality of these lamps.

So far the light has not burned out, have been using for about 3 months. i live in california The weather is around 70 degrees in November and December. The lightbulb keeps my snake body around at80 to 90 degrees

They arrived safe and sound and in good condition. We use these bulbs as night lights in our gecko cages as we try to run them on a day/night mode schedule. Gives cells a menacing red glow but allows you to see your pet's nocturnal activities.

Ordered this 40w red light bulb for our turtle's terrarium. It was better than we hoped at keeping the temperature where we wanted it to be. It fits the other end of the hood mount that holds a reptile UV light on one end and this light on the other. Perfect for our purposes.

Got this for my 15 gallon leopard gecko tank as a random night light! I'm not an expert but I think the wattage is spot on, not too hot as they don't need heat lamps, they absorb heat through their tummy! I assume they can't see red so it doesn't interfere with his nocturnal activities?

I needed to increase the temperature in my gecko tank. My room was too cold for UTH alone. That's the perfect amount of power to provide enough heat to keep the temperature within acceptable range and not fry my gecko! It's been running 24/7 for about a month now and I'm sure it can run a little longer. Even if it burns out in three months, I don't think it's bad for 24/7 use at this price point.

I used this flashlight on my red legs at night. A 40 watt light bulb is ideal for the summertime when you don't need as much heat in the room. I have ordered this bulb many times and only once received a 'bad' bulb which stopped working after 2 weeks. The price is great compared to the pet store, so buying a broken bulb is no problem for me! Will order again and recommend to friends :)

1 of 2 not working. One that's plugged in and running emits so little heat that it's almost useless. The lightbulb was made specifically for turtles and I didn't know I would ever write a review about Revain breaking a lightbulb, but here I am. Yes, maybe my life can be collected a little more. That doesn't change the fact that these lamps are terrible. Do what others say and find a good heat lamp at Lowes or something.
