Ordered 2 packs - only received 1 piece

UPDATE:. Updating my rating to 5 🌟. I contacted Revain about a missing piece of wood from my first order and they credited my account. Recently placed another order and received two very nice pieces of wood. With both orders, the wood was ready for the aquarium after 2-4 weeks of soaking in the bucket (daily water change until the water was clear). Absolutely no leaching of tannins into the aquarium with this method! Received my order this morning. It should be TWO pieces of Mopani. The label…

Works as intended. Add tannins.

Well, according to others, I got a good piece and a small piece, both immediately drowned. For 13€ that's a good deal in my opinion. I only soaked mine overnight and the water was tea colored most mornings so I just put them in. get no mopani wood. I used mine on my sick Betta and with the addition of the medication he is looking a lot better. They're definitely cool too, but not if you hate discolored water. I find it looks more natural and is also better for the fish which is why I bought it.

Tannins, LOTS of tannins.

I got two good pieces of wood. One was "branched," the other looked more like a tree trunk. Both are pretty cool and a decent size. As for tannins, I put all my Mopani, two from Revain, and a large piece I bought at pet stores in a 5 gallon bucket. I boil water and pour it over the wood and fill the bucket for the night. In the morning I drain the almost black water and fill it up with hot tap water. Then I repeat the process. If you're looking to get rid of tannins, it looks like it's going to

Good wood! best in category Fish & Aquatic Pets

I have two items that I really like. The thing about wood is that you can't really know what you're going to get because it's real and not factory made. I've tried two different methods to make/release tannins from Mopani. With the piece I bought before this order, I cooked wood for 8 hours, changing the water every hour. It required a lot of attention. I simply placed them in a bucket of water (treated with water conditioner) for 48 hours. I changed the water after 24 and it was very dark. I…

Perfect! And comparison with other similar products.

Left (see image) This item on the right is a competitor's product from Zilla Reptile DΓ©cor Malaysian Driftwood ASIN: B001F9CUY4, also bought from Amazon for about 3/4 the price of Zoomed. As you can clearly see you get a lot more bang for your buck with this product but the Zilla wood was a nice addition. I have two 10 gallon tanks and I put one in both tanks and they look amazing together. I boiled all the wood for about ten minutes, then let it soak for two days, changing the water when it…

Great gnarled pieces of wood if you know what you are buying

Bought 2 packs received all 4. GREAT DEAL Buy 2, Buy 1. Each has a truncated end making it easy to stand upright in the aquarium. Mine are currently being soaked in a bucket of R/O water. I leach them once or twice, they throw them in my South American aquarium. Some things to know about Mopani wood before you buy it: 1. Mopani releases tannins from your water no matter how much you boil, rinse, soak or swear. If you can't afford to lower your overall pH, buffer your water or if you don't like…
