When I used this bulb it didn't work on my turtle. She began to lose her claws and the turtle doesn't eat for a long time, even if I warm her in the sun here and there. As a result I bought a pack of lamps (6) with UVA/UVB/Heat. They're cheaper too. The good thing is that it saves electricity, but it's not great for your pet reptiles. However, you can mix it with another lamp to make it work, but an all-in-one or full-spectrum lamp is much better in my opinion.

Once started smoking. I use this for my turtle tank in a Zoomed lamp. It took a long time and would have been perfect if there hadn't been a small incident.
