It doesn't work on my turtle.

When I used this bulb it didn't work on my turtle. She began to lose her claws and the turtle doesn't eat for a long time, even if I warm her in the sun here and there. As a result I bought a pack of lamps (6) with UVA/UVB/Heat. They're cheaper too. The good thing is that it saves electricity, but it's not great for your pet reptiles. However, you can mix it with another lamp to make it work, but an all-in-one or full-spectrum lamp is much better in my opinion.

Does the job

I have been caring for and breeding bearded dragons for over 20 years and I have rarely used ultraviolet light and my dragons have always been healthy, active and have lived long lives. I'm not sure the UV lamp is as important as everyone says. But as a biologist and herpetologist by training, I understand the physiology of the need for UV radiation, so I started using it. This was the first brand of UV lamp I've used and it seems to work well and is a great price. All of the lamps I've used…

2 weeks used. Offers hardly any light and no UV.

I chose to use an incandescent bulb along with a new housing because it was cheaper than replacing a bad bulb that I've been using for the past few years. Should be stuck in tube style. This bulb arrived on time, glowed, and that's all it does. I should have guessed that it wouldn't work from the start because the light it gave off was very dim, like it was waiting to warm up but never gets brighter. My old tube bulb that failed is brighter than this one and it failed. In short, the one I have…

Once started smoking

Once started smoking. I use this for my turtle tank in a Zoomed lamp. It took a long time and would have been perfect if there hadn't been a small incident. I once smelled a bad smell of burnt plastic, but I couldn't figure out where it was coming from until I checked my aquarium room. The lamp hummed and a lot of smoke came out of the bulb. I quickly unplugged the lamp and checked the lightbulb. It was very hot (it doesn't usually get hot at all) and was a burnt brown color at the base…

  • Heat lamps and mats for terrariums
