nVidia made a good chip, but Zotac went for a lousy fan

Performance-wise I'm quite happy with the card. I wanted to upgrade my old nVidia 760 so I can play 4k resolution games on medium/high settings with a 4k TV which is good for a PC monitor (4:4:4 support and low latency is the Key). However, after about a year of daily use, the Zotac GTX 1060's fan began to malfunction, causing frequent temperature fluctuations and leading to a very serious drop in performance. Things got worse to the point where the GPU was only running 50% of the time or less.

Pros
  • Large bandwidth
Cons
  • Uncertain

unobtrusive which is good

Outdated 750ti came out and 1660ti came. Worked out of the box with the nvidia drivers installed for the previous card. Currently working on an Asus Sabertooth with a burned out memory channel. Slightly outdated 8350 clocked at 4.4. So yes, the system is heavily graphics card dependent. Future updates that brought me to amz today. The 1660 really was immaculate. after a few window moments, and it works and continues to work for a couple of weeks. Give nvidia and zotac five points for putting…

Great GPU but no NVidia SLI

I used this GPU in my first PC build. 3 years of gentle use, no complaints. It's incredibly compact and works well. I've run games as simple as Runescape and games as detailed as Doom 2016 and Tomb Raider at maximum settings with no issues or lag. VR never tried. The biggest problem (why it's 4 stars) is that this GPU doesn't support NVidia SLI, so you can't pair it with another NVidia GPU. If you want to upgrade your rig and still harness the power of your current GPU, don't buy it. If you're…

  • So so

Honestly this is a great card. I can run games like Farcry 5 consistently at 50 fps on ultra-max settings. On the other hand, he then decides that he wants to work. I've had the card for about a week now and I have about 13 hours to get the card working properly. I go to bed with a great working computer and wake up with problems the next day. Problems are always attached to the computer. Also, it would often not even boot up without constantly restarting the computer. My system is 2700 Ryzen…

Best GPU for Compact External GPU Installation

I upgraded ZOTAC 1050ti mini to this ZOTAC 1660ti without amp. It was a huge upgrade in terms of software and hardware. I am currently using this card in an Egpu setup in an Akitio Thunder 2 and am connected to a 15" Macbook Pro Late 2013 Intel i7 2.2GHz, 16GB RAM. This is currently the fastest card you can get that fits in Akitio. Thunder 2 without major modifications, although you need an additional power supply. I'm using a modified dell da-2 that puts out 220w, enough for 130w from 1660ti…

Great card, play it the way it's meant to be played

It's been 5 years since I've played on a desktop PC. I was playing on my laptop with NVidia 960M. It was a decent card that allowed you to play on medium settings. I recently decided to build a gaming PC and bought this card after seeing the good reviews. This card is amazing and it works absolutely everything on high frames of 60+ and everything on Ultra even up to 100 frames in 1080p. Everything is going smoothly in the series. This card is a must if you have a small case and are very quiet…

Pros
  • Two slots, 4K support, Ice Storm 2.0 cooling
Cons
  • Out of style
