Make sure your BB is the same size as he said.

. Waste of money not sure if it will fit. Definitely buy the wrong bottom bracket I know and am familiar with Numbers at the end I didn't notice until I arrived,

Pros
  • . Great construction.
Cons
  • . Unreliable.

Excellent bottom bracket removal tool + Shimano cap remover

Took my Shimano XT crankset off after using the plastic cap tool. Then, using a wrench, I removed the Hollowtech II BB bottom bracket and tightened it. Works great, just make sure you have a good grip on the pen as it's a bit flimsy.

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • Modern

Works well and serves the purpose

At first I didn't think it would work well, it seemed really flimsy and I thought the tool might rub off with use. It worked great though, and like all bike parts, you can't use a heavy hand. In any case, I would recommend this tool.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

It bites your hand.

Fits in bottom bracket slots as intended. However, you are unlikely to be able to manually apply sufficient torque to remove the slide. Due to the thin handle, it will be very difficult for your hand to apply enough pressure. I ended up sealing the end of the key with a hammer, which worked well.

Great for center snap rings

I have very thin center snap rings on my bikes and other bottom bracket tools have started to rip them off due to the chamfer on the edge of the tool. This tool is flat and the teeth extend to the edge of the tool which better engages the center retaining ring. With all this, this tool is made of aluminum, so it is not very durable. I don't think this will solve the stuck bottom bracket. As other reviews have stated, this tool can be hard on hands as it is very thin. I usually hold the toolโ€ฆ

Cons
  • Good but not great

Good for very light use

Shimano plastic tool works great - it's just plastic. While the main tool is technically workable, it only works with BBs that have been previously installed with proper debugging and not bound at all. It is made of extremely light aluminum and will never withstand the force required to free a stuck cart. If you know your bottom bracket is properly tightened and corrosion-free, you can use this tool for a replacement or two, but it's worth it. Money to buy a similarly constructed steel tool, or

Pros
  • Great for a small house

  • Safety
