Shit. Cannot even bear the weight of a small pigeon. It won't hold because the rim is only tied with twine to a piece of metal bent 90 degrees. Her egg fell out and broke. It was semi molded so please do not buy this nest if you don't want bird abortions. Obviously it was never tested prior to sale.

Came in excellent condition. I hung it in a cage next to another nest that contained our canary eggs in case the female was ready to lay another clutch before the first clutch hatched. This didn't happen, but now that she's ready for round two, she chose this rope nest over her previous nest. It works great.

Nice resting place for my diamond pigeons but only use these until now. I have 4 prominent finches and also 1 is resting in it but I think she wants to use it to lay eggs. I've read reviews where people complain that it won't support the weight of their bird/pigeon. What I did to provide additional support was to set the nest directly underneath using the horizontal wooden pole that came with the flight cage. Problem solved.

I have purchased four nests, one for each of my budgies. They are very well constructed and easy to attach to the cage. No smell as mentioned in another review. Although my budgies don't sleep in the nest, this is the perfect place for the whole flock to spend time together. I took out the cloth because it kept being thrown on the floor of the cage. I fill them with plastic bottle caps which they are happy to take and toss, this keeps them busy.
