Good for the price: postal scales

A bit awkward to use, often not zeroing when weighing in and out, must be zeroed before the next weighing. doesn't show pounds in 10 seconds like my previous shipping scale my shipper requires, only ounces so I need to convert. For example, it would look like "8 pounds 6 ounces". that equates to 8.4 pounds. So that's an extra step for me. However, it appears to be accurate, for example when weighed in grams it only weighs in 2 gram increments. For example, adding 1/2 sheet of paper to some…

Good scales: Postal scale

I've seen some complaints about the accuracy. I have a 500g calibration weight. I took the scale out of the box, put in the batteries, zeroed and put the weight on the scale. He showed 500g how it should be. I turned it off, waited a while and tried again. Still reads 500g. I took the weight off and put it back on a few times and it consistently showed 500g. Once I have the package to weigh and ship I will update the rating to reflect any difference in weights at the post office. My scale…

Inaccurate measurements

I've used other Accutek scales that don't have a separate weight attachment for years with no problem, but thought I'd go with these as sometimes I have packages that are so big I can barely see them can measurement screen. Well it worked fine for a few months but recently I've been getting inaccurate readings. I had to weigh the packages several times to make sure I got the right measure. I think I paid more for shipping than I should have to be honest. Turned it off and back on but it no…

Didn't work from the start!

I connected everything according to the instructions. All I get when I turn the device on is that it displays "Err" and then turns off again. The instructions state that if "Err" is displayed, the sensor is defective and the manufacturer should be contacted. The manufacturer gives a 10 year warranty and I can send this new defective unit to the manufacturer for repair or replacement, but I only paid $23 for it and it would have cost me about $12 to ship it to them. I don't understand why I have

Pros and one big con

Ok, I like a lot about this scale: the detachable display, the fact that it can hold up to 150 pounds and being cordless. So what's the downside you ask? battery compartment. yes, you got me right. I've had two of these (changed the first one because of this) and they both had the same problem: when it's time to change the battery, you have to take the batteries out first because the compartment is so narrow it doesn't move. Since you can't put batteries where you need them, trust me I spent 20

After 10 minutes without packaging I send it back.

There were as many good reviews as I had hoped. I keep my fingers crossed. I held my breath. And after 10 minutes without packaging I send it back. I put in the batteries and set everything up, set the scale on the flat, smooth, hard surface of my packing table and turned it on. Immediately the display started counting up and down. I hoped he would calm down, but after a few minutes he seemed to be moving back and forth. I experimented a bit with moving the cable and that seemed to make the…

Update January 2020 The scale still works as well as when it was bought in 2018! No problems to report. About a year ago I decided to start selling stuff on eBay as I wanted to sell more than Revain was good and didn't need to look for an exact, pre-existing listing to put it under, and also I don't need it, it was easy to charge a flat rate and risk being hit if my subject exceeds that amount due to weight (which many of my textbooks have done). the old, clunky electronic scales of the parents
