Product parameters: input voltage is 4.0V - 40V, output voltage is 1.25V - 37V, output current is 2A (normal and stable) and 3A max, conversion efficiency 92% (highest), output ripple under 30mV, switching frequency 150KHz, operating temperature is -45 to 85 degree Celsius. Simple to operate: the voltmeter can be turned off, and the switch can be turned off by pressing and holding the switch for more than 1 second and less than 4 seconds, once the voltmeter is turned off, simply press the switch to turn on the voltmeter. Easy to use: with terminal block, no soldering iron is also convenient to use, and retain the wire bond point (the input voltage must be higher than the voltage to be output by 1v or more). Output current: the maximum output current can be as high as 3A, the recommended working current is about 2A, more than 2A plus heat sink. Be sure to check the voltage yourself.

They work to control the voltage and stay at the set level. However, the voltage readings are only reasonably accurate (within +-0.2 volts). So be sure to check the output with a voltmeter if the exact voltage is a problem.

Great power regulator for the money

I thought I had a bad batch of regulators but after reading other reviews you have to turn the screws counter clockwise until the output power is where you want it falls off. I suspect it took 15 or 20 turns to see the voltage drop since they are rated for 30 volts and I used 12 volts. This is good because you have a constant voltmeter to confirm your voltages.

Defective and inaccurate specifications claimed

These must be defective units peddling. They work fine for about an hour, and then the output goes to 0 even with a light load. The specs say they're good for input voltages up to 40V, but they have a filter capacitor on the input that's only good for 35V The project needed to drop 24V down to 12V so I threw them away and used a TO220 regulator at 1.5 amps and it works like a charm.

Supports up to 36V, but the connectors only support 20AWG wire.

I need a buck converter to drop 24v from my 3d printer to 5v to power a pi running on an octo printer. The 24V wire is 14 gauge, as expected. The connectors on this crappy converter only support a maximum of 20 gauge. There are also plans to use them for the Powerwheels battery upgrade project, but that uses 10 gauge wire. So I think that's out of the question too. Was this thing designed by an engineer or what?

Not sure why they don't work

I bought these to add a 5V DC extruder fan to my Ender 3 Pro to replace the noisy factory fan. I was able to set the output voltage to 5.0V DC, but when I connected all the wires to the fan, the whole board wouldn't turn on. If I unplug one of the 24V DC extruder fan wires from the control board, it starts up normally. But when two wires are connected to the control board, the board does not turn on at all. And I don't know why, that's why I couldn't get it to work. I turned my old fan back on…
