For thermal transfer, that's GARBAGE!

After reading all the good reviews I thought damn yes this would be way better than using dirty thermal paste/lube, WRONG! Thermal conductivity is complete nonsense! Now it's the sticky competition to 3M VHB tape. I was working on a Peltier project that worked great with thermal paste. I wanted to make some changes to the setup so I used this tape to assemble it and it didn't work like it used to or didn't work at all. 20mm is perfect for RAM conversions.

I had to remove the heatsink on top of the RAM module to make room for a specific parallel CPU air cooler. Removal with a heat gun and soft tool wasn't a problem, but when I had to reattach the expander the adhesive on the original heat transfer became quite weak. I managed to close everything but when I checked again a week later it was a little loose. It's time to replace the thermal pad. Good material for mounting the radiator.

I received this material to install large 40mm heatsinks on NEMA 17 motors on my printers. For that it works great. You cut the material and apply it to the flat surface of the heatsink. Then attach the other side of the tape and the heatsink to the device to be cooled. Now the very thin silicone tape you applied will transfer heat from the device to the heatsink.
