Portable, dual-input thermometer for reading temperatures from two sources simultaneously, and is used in quality control and HVAC, electrical, industrial, and automotive maintenance. Accepts K-type thermocouple. Dual-scale temperature readings range from -328 to 2,498 degrees F (-200 to 1,370 degrees C). Dual-input thermocouples for superheat and subcool applications, and cut-out and cut-in temperature measurements, and offset mode compensates for thermocouple error. Backlit LCD screen with a data hold feature to save temperature readings for later viewing, maximum and minimum temperature with elapsed time, average and relative temperature calculations, and low battery indicator.

Type of review

To work with it, you always need a guide. because the interface is a pain if you don't use it on a daily basis. Also the manual says press the hold button to exit the max and min value recording function. that is not right! In fact, you have to long-press the same Max-Min button to turn off the recording mode. Otherwise you cannot switch off the device. Unlike the Ac***py manual, this one works fine. I compared it to the infrared version of the Amprobe and the cheap Goertek model. The Amprobeโ€ฆ

Temperature data logger Nice.

Excellent performance for the price. It's a little tricky to figure out each three-function button, but it just takes a little play with it. The software is indeed simple, but it gets the job done. It has a good rubber body so it should be able to withstand accidental drops. Managed to make a DC power supply out of a spare wall wart, but it can't be used with a stand as it plugs in from the bottom. The same applies to the USB port. It would be nice to have these ports with TC inputs on top. The

Has problems when used in Fahrenheit.

TMD-50: Caution! The description given here states that the gauge reads up to 2498 degrees Fahrenheit. This may be general information for other models in the series but does not apply to the TMD-50. This gauge has a "3 1/2 digit display" so the left hand character can be nothing or a "1". This means that the maximum number displayed is 1999, as stated in the user manual that came with the device. You can probably measure up to 2498 degrees Fahrenheit with this device, but you'll have to do itโ€ฆ
