Leaks after 6 months

About 6 months ago I cleaned out my garage and added this regulator. It is used very rarely. I only turn on the compressor when using air tools. I have about 120psi to the regulator and 110 to my lines. There is an air leak in the vent hole on the adjustment knob. I disassembled it, cleaned everything and lubricated all sealing surfaces with silicone grease, but it didn't help. The insides are all plastic. Very disappointing. Wouldn't recommend it. I'll throw it away and look for something…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Very disappointed

I thought I would never have to buy one again as it was I/R, ARO by at least one American company and QA even if it is made in Korea. It worked fine for a while (about a year) and then started leaking every time the pressure in the tank dropped below the set value. Rare use. Sometimes it can be stopped by increasing/decreasing the pressure. Other times (almost always now) you have to remove the bowl, filter and plunger assembly to loosen the rubber plunger which has to float with the pressure…

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • Something different

I've been working for a year now, I like it very much.

The only reason I give it 4 stars is that I feel the aluminum is a little soft when you screw steel tubing into it. in IA and have the air adjusted almost perfectly, I have a second sensor so I can check if it is working properly. He absorbs all sorts of nonsense. I have 10 feet of copper pipe and a water drain between the compressor and this unit so not a lot of water gets into the trap but picks up a lot of rust and other crap. When filling this block BE SURE there is some clearance between…

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
