GOOD TO KNOW at Garage & Shop

This unit is not consumer grade, the seal is not designed for use without a cartridge. I'm only giving it two stars because I had to change it to make it work. Even if it works now, I'm not sure. I added a wing washer behind the seal to help it hold the seal.

Handy little grease gun

Update: While the gun initially worked very well, over time the grease leaked out through the rubber piston, leaving grease BEHIND it instead of in front of it as intended. Because the lower half cannot be disassembled, there is no way to clean and repair the instrument. Why can't anyone build a weapon that lasts more than a day!

Not impressed. On my second tube of lube.

Not impressed. On my second tube of lube it just stopped pumping. I took it apart and almost lost the bearing and spring and found that the rubber o-ring was destroyed. Reassembled it with the broken o-ring and somehow it worked again, but shortly after it started dripping out of the main jet no matter how tight I screwed it in. This is definitely NOT a difficult mode - spend a little more for a quality mini pistol.

This article is garbage. Broke on first try to use.

This item is scrap. Broke on first try to use. All of the lubricant has passed through the piston and remains in the cylinder. The spring that pushes the piston no longer works. The pump doesn't work at all. The piston stopper can release it at any time when filling the lubricant into the cylinder. Have time to dodge everything to avoid getting in the face of anything that's being charged. I'd happily ship this grease-smeared junk to the manufacturer, but it's a shame for the USPS. Such a piece

Don't waste your money

I should have noticed the low overall ratings for this product. Don't waste money. The inside diameter of the gun was not large enough to accommodate the outside diameter of the lubricant cartridge, making it very difficult to insert and/or remove the cartridge. A complete mess as there was no room for air to escape the barrel when the cartridge was installed, which forced the grease out before I could put the cap on. Failed three times with three rounds. I went into the auto zone and they all…

You CAN get what you pay for! {Follow Up Rating}

Compared to Milton S-3102, this grease gun is much better. This item has received many negative reviews due to quality control and materials. There have been several SUCCESSFUL buyers who have received a working unit. The CARBYNE device works 100% as it should. Instructions included. Has a handle locking mechanism that many others don't have. Higher-quality parts and heavier materials should ensure a long service life. Unlike some others, I am not compensated for any of my reviews! I'm just…

The hexagonal head is best used in grease guns

A tool that is quite appropriate for this price. Loading cartridges is easy and it worked the first time with just ONE KEY issue! The hex bolt that allows the flex pipe to be installed (and in my case it was NEEDED for me to be able to do this) was so tight I couldn't unscrew it without rounding off the head! As a result, I cannot install the flexible hose and make it fit me, so this basically RESTRICTS the use of the tool! Otherwise this product is well made, works well and should (despite the

Cannot be used properly because red thread lock was preinstalled on the set screw. I contacted the company directly and they told me there must be some corrosion on the set screw. Told me to hit it with a hammer or use some penetrating lube. And if only I had a blowtorch to try! I know the heat will loosen the thread lock but the company needs to admit their mistake and not try to lie and cover it up by telling me I have a rusty aluminum part. I emailed for further assistance, pointing out that
