I am very disappointed with the design of this product

Culligan ISH-100 Built-in Shower Filter for use with existing shower heads, White I am very disappointed with the design of this product. I have been using Culligan products for many years and have never had a problem. This has a design flaw. There is a metal clamp that connects to the shower head/pipe and seals well with tape on the threads of the pipe. BUT where the collar enters the shower filter there is a gap that leaks - a lot. There is no way to stop this leak. As I said, this is a…

but now i'm happy. Value $$

Firstly, this product costs $18, it does not remove 100% chlorine and contains plastic parts! All in all, there is a noticeable difference, even after just one use. My skin is not as dry and itchy as it used to be. Yes, it leaked when I first installed it. I took it off and added a small ball of sanitary putty around the washer seal in addition to three coats of teflon tape, reassembled and tightened everything up. Nothing leaks and everything stays in place. Very affordable and works quite…

Easy to install but not very effective when measuring.

I installed this due to various harmful effects of chlorine in my water. First, installation is easy with teflon tape and a wrench (my own). The aesthetics are rather ugly, but tolerable. When measuring chlorine, however, this decreases only slightly. The amount is so small I can't "feel" the difference. In hindsight this is to be expected as the water output is pretty much the same as it was before installation and I know the filtration will take some time and effort if done properly. Finally,

Built with faulty connector

I ordered this for Sunday delivery and was glad it was installed today to keep my morning shower filtered. I have followed all the instructions included and the ONLY ONE joint is leaking which I cannot adjust as it is built into the system. I wanted a system that could change the filter without removing the entire shower. When I noticed the connection wasn't tightening I was skeptical but now I'm really angry and frustrated that I have to put everything back together and I don't have a filter…

Don't buy it from Revain stock

I usually really enjoy buying from Revain stock because it's awful how many returned items end up as waste for no good reason. However, if a product is returned due to a defect it really should not be resold from Revain's warehouse. I received this shower filter head and it was made wrong. The knee-shaped pipe that carried water from the faucet, through the filter, and out the showerhead was clogged. Where the hole should have been was a solid piece of plastic. Essentially, this turned the part

Does not remove 100% chlorine

I run a drinking water system. I chose to install this device in the shower so my hair doesn't dry out from the chlorine in the water. After installation, it seemed to me that the hair became less dry, but I wanted to check that all the chlorine was removed from the water. After testing tap water and filtered water, I found that this filter only removed about 0.5ppm of free chlorine. Tap water contained 1.19 ppm and filtered water contained 0.74 ppm free chlorine. I also checked the total…

A worthy product, as effective as one would expect at a low price.

This is a cheap and fairly effective product. For the price I didn't expect it to be the most durable and it isn't. The connection points including the threads are made of plastic, which means that the threads loosen over time when screwing onto a metal shower head. When installing, be sure to use the supplied teflon tubing at the connection points as these provide a good seal and allow for some flexing, making it less likely that you will strip the threads during initial installation. Our…
