Perfect for our needs

I have followed the reviews and ordered the shoes 1/2-1 size larger than my normal baby shoes and they fit well! Children easily put them on themselves and knock. Can't judge the sound of the tap compared to other brands but as we dance just for fun they fit our purposes.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Nothing

Great for beginners!

Great tap shoes for our daughters who are just starting to tap dance! Nothing fancy, but she can put them on herself, so that's a plus. I encourage parents who buy beginner tap shoes to buy Velcro. DO NOT buy ties. The teacher doesn't have time to keep interrupting the lesson to re-lace your child's shoes!

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Fine

Excellent quality slippers!

I bought these tap shoes for my 5 year old daughter for ballet/tap/jazz classes. Based on previous experiences with tap shoes, I went half a size up and they fit her well. It is easy to put on and take off by yourself. She says they are comfortable. She's been wearing them for several months and has never complained about them. I think these are excellent quality shoes and if she outgrows them I will order another pair.

Cute shoes with good velcro!

They don't stretch at all but the size fits us. My daughter had just outgrown her size 7 shoes so we chose a size 8 and they fit her well. A warning, they are very slippery. When she walks fast she slips every time - a user error of my 3 year old - not the fault of the shoes. The Velcro is long, so when he grows up we can play a little. Last time we bought a different brand and the velcro kept opening; I don't see what's going on with these.

Silent tap dancing shoes

These shoes are very cute, I would recommend them if you are unsure about your child wanting to tap. They are true to size and appear to be well made. My problem is related to the main feature of the show, which is the faucet. My daughter's teacher said they were quiet and you couldn't hear them in class. You sound like a person walking in high heels. I've never tap danced before so I didn't pay attention, but I trust the feedback from her dance teacher.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Very comfortable for my 3 year old

My daughter who complains about almost every shoe she has to wear has never complained about this particular shoe. She loves wearing them to dance classes. If she isn't complaining about these shoes then they are really very comfortable! In addition, they are very easy to put on and take off. It is much easier for them to work with a strap than shoes that have laces, buttons, etc. My 3 year old loves these slippers. You can't go wrong with this choice!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

Excellent tap shoes, order your child's shoe size

Excellent tap shoes for the price. I was wary of buying my daughter's shoe size as her previous shoes from the local sporting goods store were not 'normal' sizes. I increased the size, but it fits the size of children's shoes. She wears size 11 baby shoes but I ordered size 12 just in case. They are big for her and are a true size 12. According to another review we just stuffed cotton balls on her toes and she is happy as a clam and I'm thankful they fit her a bit. Be sure to order your child's

Tap shoes that don't really rattle

My little one started tap dancing and of course she needed the right shoes. Not knowing if she would like it or not, my goal was to buy as cheaply as possible. I found her and everything seemed fine until it was time to knock. As it stands, the big difference in the quality of tap shoes is how well they tap — you know, that's the whole point of the shoes themselves. They make about the same noise as my high heels. This really takes away from the child the joy they might get in a tap dance class

Pros
  • Artificial sole
Cons
  • Big and chunky

LOVE these little slippers. My daughter outgrew her first pair which was an elastic band with a tie and had a very hard time with it and just ripped the tie. Decided to try velcro to make it easier for her to put them on during class. Bought two different styles to try on and ended up keeping because they are much softer on the inside and not as stiff and also a great strap because it goes through the entire metal loop which gives plenty of wiggle room to open the boot without too tight pull…

Pros
  • Lightly cushioned insole with arch support
Cons

Perfect show for beginners, Velcro is awesome

Pros: • Velcro makes it easy for toddlers to get on and off • Nice glossy black finish CONS: • Size is A a bit small (up the size around half, maybe even full size if the child has a wide foot) My 4 year old daughter has just started dancing and after studying many different brands of tap shoes we settled on this pair. My medium sized 4 year old wears a size 8 (regular width) outdoor shoes and we went a half size up to a size 8.5 and they fit great with little room to grow (so I hope they wear…

Pros
  • Shaft dimensions are approximate not for the bow
Cons
  • Packaging is ugly
