Daystar KF04058BK Black Body Mount Review

I bought this kit for a 2005 F350 and the neck on the hubs was too small for the hole in the frame. The kit I bought for my 2013 F350 fits perfectly

Far from the quality or fit I expected. The bushings are smaller and the screws are not offset like the original. I would like to return but I allowed Revain to expire for 30 days before attempting to install it.

I torqued all fasteners to 45 ft/lbs as instructed. 4 stepped parts divided at the welding points. I re-welded the defective parts. Luckily I had welding gear. No issues so far, but I'm wondering how long the two I haven't digested will last. I wouldn't recommend using metal parts there.

Much easier to install than others think. It took me 5 hours to remove and reinstall the seat and change the bushings. The kit did not come with washers large enough to fit the factory holes. So I reused the factory bolts rather than the kit bolts as they already had the correct washers.

Fairly easy installation, cab mounts have been removed in my opinion. There were maybe 2 that didn't rot and were mostly gone. Day Stars cab mounts made the truck riding so much better, it didn't feel like I was rolling right off the frame, I feel the road instead of bouncing off the frame. Refund and switch to another brand. These mounts are smaller than the factory mounts and the screws are only partially threaded (about 1.5 inches) so you can't get a secure fit in positions 2 and 3 with the included screws (we didn't get position 1 and position 4 was doubtful). ) as the threads on the bolts end before they are tightened to "clamp" the frame tongue.
