New smell never goes away

later I assume new heaters have a burn out smell. This heater had MUCH more flame retardants or some sort of harmful chemicals they put on it than the other Lasko I bought. Maybe 10 times more. I put it outside and ran it on low for 6 hours every day for 6 days (36 hours total) and the smell was reduced by 85% which was still too smelly for me to use indoors. I spent my money on electricity when I realized there would never be enough gas. A plus is that the return was easy even without a label…

Excellent reliable heater for the money

I've had this heater for a year now and it's doing a great job to keep bedroom and hallway warm in winter. I use it on low power, which is enough to heat a 14 x 10 foot bedroom. When I want most of my apartment to be heated, I turn it on high and I can feel the heat seeping out of the bedroom and into the rest of the room. Because it uses an infrared remote, I was able to connect it to my Logitech Harmony hub, allowing me to control the heater with my cell phone. , or my voice via Google…

I'm not upset about the lack of hesitation, I've never used this feature anyway. Time will tell and I'll come back and post a review if anything else breaks. I have a few complaints ie it doesn't quite work the way you might expect. basically the thermometer doesn't do anything, my previous heater switches off when it has reached its target…

Attractive heater, mostly well thought out design, pleasant to use

We have had two previous DeLonghi heaters which have both worked well in the winter since 2008 decided to take another. TCH7690ER seems to work fine. A few modest changes. Earlier models switched off as soon as they lost contact with the ground. The gift really needs to be tipped over before it shuts down. This is an advantage if you want to adjust its position without having to turn it off and on again. The newer model has a nice backlit display that is always on by default, but only shows the
