Enhanced Dorman 645-506 Door Harness Kit Including Connectors Review

No matter what anyone says, including Dorman, it is 100% compatible with 2002 and 2003 Quad Cabs, the difference is the wire colors. I removed my original and adjusted wire by wire and plug by plug, they are identical in all connections. This is a good pendant, wish I found it sooner.

So this harness fixed the speaker, window and locks that weren't working on my tailgate. All wires of the normal wiring harness are cut off. However, it has only been a few months since I installed the Dorman wiring harness and the rubber boot covering the wires has already ripped in places, now I can see the individual wires. It still works and I'll write it down and hope for the best, but it's really disappointing.

I liked the price. Unfortunately they (I bought TWO) didn't fit my truck as I have a mega cab, they were 12 inches shorter. Since I couldn't find that for a mega cab at a comparable price, I had to hack it and use the most important part of this suspension, the door jamb section. I had to cut and connect the entire suspension. Hey, at least it works now. Hours, lots of patience and lots of soldering and shrinking. The listing should NOT say FOR MEGA CAB.

Installation was pretty easy, the sockets were a bit difficult to install. What I'm not happy with is the end that fits the front door wire clip doesn't fit properly, the clips on the side don't fit the door opening, they're too small, or the actual thickness of the plastic case is too thin, now I'm hanging stuck with the plastic. Only plus is that the wire works, don't know how long it will last as I'm afraid it will eventually break, this door is often opened. I thought about returning it but

Although I find this level of strength to be a bit pricey; The risk of the computer burning down or the car burning is worth the price.
