Super cheap and loud

This horn is way better than expected and better than any less than 5 star rating. I installed it on my 2010 Mazda 3 Sport and it's more than twice as loud as the original which was pretty loud for a small car. The dealer wanted to charge me $63 just to replace the horn. This horn is way better and makes a statement that clearly draws the attention of other drivers and pedestrians. I don't see why anyone would want to pair it with a low tone if you don't want everyone to think you're flying a…

Good urgency and increased horn volume

Replaced the original horn with this one on my '99 Miata. Good urgency and increased horn volume. This is a 6 amp outlet so a horn will work using the vehicle's native relay. The easy-to-install car power cable fits into the spade connector of this horn. I did not use the original mount, only the one that comes with this horn. It raises the horn higher and allows the power cord to reach the horn more easily, although I rotated the horn so it was facing down (to keep water and dirt from…

Easy to install, comes pre-assembled with a single ground jumper.

I installed this horn along with a low frequency freeway horn (Fiamm 72112 Freeway Blaster LOW Note Horn) on my 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata. The factory horns weren't loud enough to draw the attention of another driver on the interstate. These are nice and loud. I was able to mount them on the factory brackets and hook up the factory wiring harness. Fiamm includes a short piece of wire with a 1/4" quick connector on one end and a ring terminal on the other end. If your factory horn wiring only has…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Quality

Is normally installed directly on the battery without an additional relay. I just made a simple braid to split the original connection in two for the second bass horn I ordered. Much louder than the anemic horn on my 2010 4runner (single disc horn) though. This doesn't say much as the original horn was primarily for Vespas but they have a very noticeable improvement in volume and tone. I don't know what a "freeway blaster" is, but at least people on their phones can hear me honk at traffic…

NOT for 2009 Honda Odyssey

This horn is NOT compatible with 2009 Honda Odyssey. First, the instructions tell you to cut off any existing horn connectors that are already connected to your vehicle so you can use your own cheap connection. Second, the horn itself looks like a glorified two-pronged stereo speaker - NOT something you want to see in a car or on the road. Luckily I decided to try this before I cut anything. The existing mounting screw in my car is too big for the included mounting hole. So I couldn't even…

Definitely louder and punchier than the original and good quality

I bought both treble and bass and installed them as a pair to replace the factory horns. Installation only took about 20 minutes. I just disconnected the wiring harness and removed the old horn bracket. I bought a wiring harness adapter so I didn't have to make any permanent changes and everything was plug and play. I screwed the new horns to the brackets and put them back in place. They are definitely louder and more assertive than the factory horns on my car. I also made a volume change. A…

So far, so good. Nice and loud. Good sound.

So, like many other Mazda CX-5 owners before 2016, I just got a low beep with my car. The sound was somehow low and monotonous, lost in traffic. The addition of this horn gave the sound a nice, familiar tremolo that's more reminiscent of a car of this size. So far so good: I haven't used a horn except for testing "in the wild" for example, so I'll have to update later. Installation (not exactly part of this ranking, but informative) was tricky but not overly difficult. There are some good…

I bought both low and high horns - yes they are loud.

Easy assembly - I simply removed the old horns and screwed these and the accompanying woofer onto the same stand. The wires were labeled and I was able to connect them correctly without any problems. All in all, the job took about 20 minutes. I wanted a loud horn and this is LOUD. This afternoon my daughter turned on the car alarm, it was loud from 50 feet away. When we got within 25 feet of the car, my ears hurt (a little). I don't know how long they will last. The last set of horns I bought…

Sooo much better than the regular Roadrunner horn!

I bought this for my 2018 Indian Scout. The location of the socket head screw on the stock horn made removal a bit tricky, but that has nothing to do with this horn. I bought a higher pitched model and couldn't be happier. Sure, it's not as loud as an air horn, but it's a huge improvement over the stock horn. It's noisy! I believe if you could find a place you could put a high and a low frequency horn in parallel and get an even better horn. Again, you'll need to work around a few obstacles to…
