Good product! - Housing

Installation is very simple. And it fits perfectly, I was concerned at first because people said it was loose, but mine fits perfectly and doesn't sag at all.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Functionality

Do not buy this mirror.

Very disappointed. Didn't fit the car properly. It fell out and broke before I could even drive. Don't buy this for Taurus 05, although it says it will work for this year's Taurus.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Clarity

Nice but really the right size of the original part, it helps to adjust

It was fitted to a non-original frame and could not be snapped into place. I had to cut this frame out and glue it to the old frame, it worked but it really shouldn't have taken that long to fix the broken glass. Good thing I had an old frame and just needed the glass.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Some small things

Doesn't stay locked. Terrible quality control.

The product fits in size and design. The problem was the fit. No matter how hard I tried, it wouldn't snap to the inner ring. It doesn't take a genius to put on one of these, it's usually very easy. I ended up cutting off all the other tabs on the back to "fit" them, then applied 3M plastic and emblem glue to the mating surfaces. For $15 it had everything I needed as I didn't have the plastic backing that the mirror attaches to. Save your money and buy another if you're not willing to settle…

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember

nice try but didn't work on my 02 Taurus

nice try but didn't work on my 02 Taurus. Following the installation instructions, it took so much effort to snap the backplate into place, the glass cracked in the towel. all glass splinters removed from the substrate. Came back here just to order glass. To my surprise, the bottom plate didn't snap properly on my device so I had to lubricate it with silicone. The glass mirror I ordered did not perfectly match this substrate. more silicone. Needless to say, when spring comes we'll be heading to

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No result

Inexpensive, easy repair!

The passenger side mirror on our 2000 Ford Taurus hit the garage door upholstery when my son backed out of the garage. The impact shattered the mirror but only scratched the housing it was in. At first my husband thought the whole mirror and housing needed replacing and then I spotted this replacement mirror. I ordered a mirror with direct assembly instructions. Basically you use a screwdriver to gently pry the old mirror from the bracket (located in the mirror housing), then line up the slots…

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Obsolete Model
