Works great for the price

Works great for the price. I have used 2 ton units and a 5 ton heat pump for several. I air and air professionally and needed my own for part time jobs and it's not the fastest car in the world but definitely not the slowest for the price! Would buy again! Great tool!

Deep vacuum fails

I worked for half an hour and the best I could get was 3800 microns. My old pump that I paid $60 for draws 800 microns on the same hose and gauge. The fit and finish wasn't great either, and as others have said the oil that was included in the bottle leaked making a mess in the box. He comes back.

Transport/handling of the vacuum pump

I'm not sure how this pump will perform when fully used. I filled the pump with oil and checked, the manufacturer's sticker fell off the pump within 30 seconds, does not cause a feeling of warmth. Chaos. Maybe that's why the shipping label fell off. In any case, there was enough oil to fill the pump. I will be using it to install a mini split system soon and will update this review again.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

I bought all 3 of these pumps to compare and this is by far my favorite. $115 Sound Level: Robinair (loudest) Yellow Jacket (still quite loud) FJC (quietest so far) Speed test to -29 inhg on a 7 gallon chamber: Robinair: 1:03 Yellow Jacket: 1:01 FJC: 1:11 Speed test at about -29.9 inhg on a 7 gallon camera: Robinair: 1:26 Yellow Jacket: 1:26FJC: 1:32FJC wins because it's much quieter than the others, costs less and lasts a few seconds slower . I didn't really care about the price, so I was…

About as loud as a vibrating phone, fast vacuum, no leaks.

This is a good solid vacuum cleaner for my mother's car. I was expecting a noisy car but it's not noisy at all. In comparison, it was honestly about as loud as a vibrating phone rattling on a table. Much quieter than I expected and it only took me about 10 minutes to get the vacuum level up to what I needed. I wait about 45 minutes and the vacuum stays at the same negative level so I haven't had any issues with leaks. However, if you do use it, MAKE SURE you tightly cap the nozzle you are not…

Good product. He has a great company behind him.

Not only am I impressed with this vacuum pump, I am impressed with the company. When I received this pump I was very excited to use it (my first time with DIY AC service). I plugged it in and the pump started working but I noticed the fan wasn't spinning. and I felt the pump motor start to heat up. I turned it off right away. I was so speechless. I decided to call the FJC manufacturer to see if they could tell me what the problem might be. I called and was immediately put through to a very good

Seems to be a great pump.

I needed a pump to run my car's air conditioning (Weekend Warrior Mechanic) and decided to try an inexpensive mid-range pump. I was surprised that in the box there were two bottles of oil upside down in the box. . Why they intentionally packaged two bottles of oil upside down is beyond me. The bottles didn't leak but I imagine they could make a mess if they did. I bought my own high quality oil at a relatively low price and will keep the supplied oil just in case. In my opinion, the pump runs…
