This review is for the GEARWRENCH 3 piece set 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" 84 tooth drive fully polished teardrop ratchet. These tools are beautiful and shine I find them to be very well made.The plastic they come in is very thick which makes it great that they don't bang.These are not quick release ratchets so there is no button to push the socket out which is fine with me. I have to say I'm a big fan of the latest generation Gearwrench. The previous generation seemed to have a few issues here and there, but in my short-term experience they seem to have been ironed out. Of course I won't really have a REAL rating for them until after 5 or 10 years in this equation. Because let's face it, decent tools should last decades, if not forever, with good care. Or damn near. Having only done one job with them (on a Kia, no less), I can't say where they will be in a decade.

This is a standard gear wrench in new packaging. They work the same as the old model but instead of being laser engraved with "84 teeth” they are now engraved on the back of each tool along with the new style logo. The ratchet is the same reliable 84-tooth gearing they've used for years and I've never had a break, even after heavy use.
