I ordered blonde but it was more of a light brown color. It is recommended to order 30 pieces to install a full lock head. I would say you will need more, around 60-80 for a full head. They are much thinner than they appear in the photo. They send free beads which I think was a good gesture but I will return the quality which I wasn't expecting based on the excellent reviews.

UPDATE: They were good for a while but the quality went down after about a month. I had stretch marks before I traveled 8 months. Being under waterfalls literally every week, constantly swimming, climbing and they were still fixed and looking good at 8 months, couldn't tell they were extensions. 2 months later with these and I take them out. They arrived a day earlier than expected and look great. They are thinner than expected compared to the images shown, but they are soft and "flexible" which makes them look more realistic. They're not very shiny nor very curly, which is great. For the price I am very satisfied. However if you want to do the whole head I would order 50-70 total (5-7 packs of 10) as they are so thin. They are light and appear to be made of the same material as light dishwashing sponges. that's the only way I could describe it. Ha ha. I liked that they included elastic bands and some bead/dreadlock embellishments. It's beautiful and comfortable. However, dreadlock extensions have little black hairs/fibers all over them here and there. If you look closely at the 1st photo you will see them. This is actually my first review on Amazon, although I often shop here. I love my purchase so much. This is also my first time wearing crocheted dreadlocks like this. It turned out very nice and believable. They are a bit stiff and expensive but for me they are worth it and can be reused. FYI I had to buy 10 packs for my whole head.
