The clips were broken

I ordered a set of front brake pads, but when I opened the box the clips were broken. If so then I will check with the mechanic if these clips are needed, I will have to return them

Ordered a set of front brake pads. The clip was broken when I received the first set. The kit was replaced and the clips on this kit broke 2 weeks after installation. The kit was replaced and the third kit had its clip broken before it was welded in. Hawk acknowledged this is a manufacturing defect: I'm still awaiting a decision (6 weeks or more)

Pros
  • Virtually silent

Performance for the price

Newly installed HAWK performance pads instead of OEM pads on my 2006 Infiniti G35 coupe. The braking system is standard, with the exception of the pads (polished discs, washed brake lines, etc.). The pads are good after warming up. When cold, they seem to lack the grip that the original pads had - a softer pedal feel and a slight squeak at times. If you frequently ride short distances, Hawk performance pads may not be the best choice.

Pros
  • Increased stopping power
Cons
  • Good but not great
