Description of Feeler Gauge Timing Light with Inductive Gun - Engine Ignition Coil Tester for Car, Motorcycle, Marine, Lawnmower | Motor Vehicle and Gap Measurement

★ Timing Light Will Extend The Life of Engine ★- It doesn't exactly inspire confidence when you're feel a sudden succession of shudders or thumps emanating from your car engine.Knocking, could be sign of something dire.or could just mean the engine's timing is a little off.You could spend dollars to repair place.Or you could diagnose problem on your own using a timing light.Properly adjusted timing, in turn, helps to make sure your engine works at peak power and efficiency.Who doesn't want that?. ★ Never Have To Worry About Running Out of Power★ -The cool thing about timing lights is that unlike a flashlight, you never have to worry about running out of power the light. That is, as long as your car runs and is connected to a working 12-volt battery. With the engine off, you merely clamp the timing light's red wire to the battery's positive terminal, then the black wire to the battery's negative terminal. Lastly, you take the signal wire and clamp directly to Number 1 spark plug wire. ★ Ergonomic Pistol Grip Design ★ - First, you should know that timing lights come in a few different shapes and sizes. But most people would probably prefer the much cooler, ray gun-shaped, "pistol grip" variety.Because they're more ergonomic inside the close confines of a car's engine bay (yeah, that's it). Handle pistol-type design conforms to the engineering design, the button is comfortable, feels good, facilitates the operation. ★ Extended Length Cables Easy Connect To Car's Engine Bay★ - Sensor Clips Cable length up to 4.41ft .Never worry about the length of the cable is not long enough.Adapts to all kinds of 12V battery for automobiles, motorcycles, ATVs, personal watercraft, RVs, boats, airplanes, golf carts, lawn mower, etc . ★ Stainless Steel Feeler Gauge As Bonus★ - Use feeler gauge to measure gap. This is flexible easy to get into all places. Blades are able to be together or can unscrew finger nut to take feeler out. 2 Different units of measuring: Dual marked metric and imperial, 0.0015 in/ 0.04 mm to 0.035 in/ 0.88 mm, the numbers of size are etched into feeler gauge for easy identification.Perfect for setting lifter, sparking plug, points gap etc. With anti-rust oil on feeler gauge to prevent rust.

Very good BASIC set

I liked this set. It's very basic but worth the money. You have to block outside light to see the flash light as it is not very bright. The pens are good. Good basic set at a low price.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Good for the price in Time Lights

Timelight works great. I've used it in broad daylight to time a VW dune buggy with enough light to get the job done. The probe set is very cheap and fell apart on first use. Easy enough to fix, just a hassle

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Has issues

Arrived broken with no instructions and dipstick

I received the engine hour meter without instructions and dipstick. When trying to use the sync light there was no light, just a hum. It's possible that I received a defective item due to the packaging and missing items.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Disappears

Poor Lighting - Diagnostic, Testing & Measuring Tools

I have a time light for my 70's Chev 350v8. I found and attached a label, started the car, correctly connected the lightbulb to the flywheel and set the chronometer. The light only worked sporadically at first. Battery connections reconfigured and tried again. This time the light blinked correctly, but when I hovered over the flywheel my marker didn't light up at all.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • big and bulky

It blinks! Function. What can I say?

Bought this timing gun to check and set the ignition system Toyota Fast delivery, works as it should, bright flash is easy to see even in daylight. The cable is long enough. I turned on the ignition in my car yesterday. Positive pole to clamp + minus to -tapping of the first ignition cable on cylinder 1. Update: Used for the 2nd time today. all is well!

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Low maintainability

It's a good light and it pays the bills

I was trying to time my hot rod but the timer jumped like crazy at higher RPMs. Research has pointed to various things like a timing chain, worn harmonic equalizer, etc., but I've also seen a few posts where people have mentioned that regular pilot lights won't work with aftermarket multi-spark ignition systems. Has tuned many cars over the past seven years. years, I even use it today. Still works fine, just draw a white dot on the tip of the feed wheel for a better view. You will also find the

Pros
  • Great price

  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Easy to use and instruction booklet! The perfect model for lovers!

I bought this timer to work with my classic 1991/1992 Miata TBI Small Block Chevy/350 engine in my 1995 GMC Sierra with electronic ignition, it was a bit sporadic at first but once the engine was warm, it ran happily, just connect the cables to the battery and the sensor to spark plug 1 and you're done. The instructions are easy to follow and the flash clearly shows the timestamps in action. I used a sharp black pencil to mark the engine timing marks. Make sure the arrow on the displacement…

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
