Ideal for boat engine drain plugs

This saved a life. It was the perfect size for removing the lower block drain plug on a 1999 Evinrude 175. I spent a week trying to get it out with various tools and it worked on the first try.

Great product - take

Works well - useful as a regular (Phillips) screw strip - allowing you to get full torque from a drill rather than a bulky flathead by hand. If you have storm blinds - this is a MUST for your safety!

Pros
  • Hand tool
Cons
  • Fits

Easily slips out of the screw head.

We live on the east coast of Florida and have to cover our porch almost every year. We usually use a #3 Phillips cutter. I bought this one thinking it would be best not to round off the head of the screw, but it slips off very easily. Glue Drill No. 3.

Cons
  • Style 90

If your screws are both flat and cruciform, consider using Phillips

wrenches. They worked great so five stars but the flat surface seems to slide even though it has a spring loaded centering device. I haven't had to attach many panels yet, but I have both flat and self-tapping Phillips screws at home. I'll probably use a regular Phillips nozzle if there's a hurricane.
