Works like a champ!

I have some vintage USGI gas cylinders from the 1960's and 70's that I use on my ranch. Filling up with the old metal GI spout has always been a problem, especially when trying to fill modern gas tanks with unleaded petrol using only small fittings. This adapter worked PERFECTLY with no leaks, allowing me to use EZ-Pour plastic tips. AA++ rating!

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Crumpled

Perfect for upgrading an old jerry can

Found an old military style jerry can with no rust for $5 at auction. This updates the glass for use with any modern nozzle you can find at any hardware store. Easier (and cheaper) than trying to find an old style nozzle. As mentioned, make sure you use the correct gasket for the type of fixture you are using. Doesn't leak and I have a refurbished and durable military can for a small investment.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • There are downsides

Canister adapter fits gas bottles

Thread too short. It almost doesn't work on my steel Jerry Cab and definitely not on my new breed of plastic cans. If they just delayed the threads it could have been a good product, but instead they made it cheaper and made it barely usable. I was also looking forward to this because plastic canister fuel nozzles are overpriced and hard to find. Don't waste money on it. You will be disappointed.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Not the best

No, the threads are very different.

I have just received this beautifully made product but was disappointed to find that the threads do not even come close to matching those on the military scepter fuel canisters which I also just purchased. For reference, my Zepter cans are identical to those pictured on the product page here at Revain. With others reporting the same, and still others expressing admiration for the fit, one can only assume that the Scepter cans made for the US military don't have the same thread. Damn.

. I love military fuel cans and have updated the gasket and replaced the flanges with aluminum. This makes them airtight and indestructible. The final piece of the puzzle was to securely connect the Tera pump so I didn't have to worry about it slipping off. It pairs perfectly with the included Tera pump adapter, replacing the incredibly flimsy contraption I built in the install aisle at Home Depot. My long search for the optimal transport, storage and handling of fuel is now over. E85…

Use on correct glass and with correct seal

Fits perfectly on my very old metal QMC marked USMILITARY 1951 5 GL., RUSAKOV JERRY CAN. Firm fit with lay flat. Remove the flat gasket and use the o-ring to properly vent the bottle. Some reviews say it is not suitable for plastic cans, but it is suitable for metal cans. Those who say it's leaking are probably using it on the wrong can or using a flat gasket along with an o-ring. One pad, then another. Not both. My old metal spout was leaking through a flexible metal tube. There are no leaks…

Not recommended. flow out of the box.

Pops out of threads when using an O-ring. If a flat washer is used "you must have a self-bleed nozzle" then it seems to work fine as long as it's not over tightened. However, my brand new gas nozzle leaked like siv. That was one of the safety tips I bought at Walmart. The gasket doesn't make contact with the top of the adapter hole and doesn't spread the gas all over my weed. I put an o-ring on the inner gas port seal and it only leaked when I let the pressure build up in the can without…

Pros
  • Fuel transfer and lubrication
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

I should have read other reviews - this cap/adapter will not fit the standard US Government 5 gallon plastic canister (aka "Jerry Cans") - as the threaded portion of the adapter is too short to accommodate the woman To catch threads in the fuel can opening, so to actually try to get the threads I had to remove both the o-ring and the flat rubber gasket, which caused a leak in the first place. However, this problem pales in comparison to the fact that the adapter's male threads are too small in…
