This is a review of Kalita filters from Deputi-Japan. Chemex, Melitta, Aeropress and Semi - automatic espresso machine), so I don't use many of them. As mentioned in other reviews these filters have an odd chemical odor which is most noticeable after rinsing/wetting prior to brewing. I tried letting them air out for a few days but still had the same bad smell. Shortly after, I picked up a box of 185 Wave unbleached brown filters from our local coffee shop, which gave off no odor.
