I bought them mainly to make iced tea. I need a strong straw because I mix the sweetener with it. They are the perfect size for my needs. They are 8 1/4" long and 1/4" in diameter. They may be too short for a very tall glass, but my favorite tea mug is 5 inches. I recycle them to make bird toys for my Quaker parrot. Yes, I'm not sure if there were people who just didn't measure, or if they had different suppliers with different straws, but the ones I received, were NOT 10" long (Apparently some had the same issue as me) I use these for my old Del Taco collectible cups to refill and take to work.
