I broke my back (L4-S1 Fusion) and was looking for something to better relax my bike. Installed this backrest kit yesterday in 15-20 minutes (help a 3 year old) so easy to install, instructions are VERY good and with pictures. The details are solid, the design feels well thought out, we like how you can flip the cushion to move it closer or farther from the seat. Haven't tried it yet, will update after a few rides. Received Earlier. Easy to install on my 2014 FLHTK; although I used stainless bolts, washers and locknuts in the 2 fender mounting holes instead of the ones supplied. Also looked at the HD brand and others. The HD brand is difficult to release as you have to put your fingers in the seat slot and press 2 buttons that release the seat. The backrest has a small spring-loaded pin that locks the seat in place. The pen is adjustable so you can set it as stiff/light as possible and shoot as you like. So the bottom line is that it does its job effectively (offers back support and comfort), is more economical than most other products, but lacks some of the conveniences found in more expensive alternatives.
