Worked best in air conditioning tools and equipment

Valve core puller worked well. I used it with R134A on the upper side port on my '05 Honda Odyssey. Please note that the two shanks are different and are interchangeable between high port and low port tools. The Odyssey uses a smaller "car tire" valve on both the high and low sides, so I had to move the smaller stem to the high-port tool. Make sure the valve snaps into place on the stem end before attempting to remove the valve from the vehicle. If the replacement valve does not engage; Gently…

Very happy with tool worked well on tj

I used this kit to replace both AC valves in a jeep tj. I tapped the ends lightly with a hammer until they almost pinched the new valves, then used them to force the old valves out without using lube. There was enough room to slide both valves past the tool shut-off valve. I was very satisfied and happy. have this special tool on hand. One of my valves was missing a cap and it was the same valve used to add freon to the store's atomizer. I didn't realize how annoying the valve was until I…

Not bad once I figure out the trick (use AC lube).

I had the same problem as the reviewer who posted the video. The tool's ability to "hold" a loose valve core tightly depends largely on the small "ball" at the end of the valve core. It should "snap" into a small hole in the tool. Not all valve cores are the same. I was able to solve this problem by applying some lubricant to the end of the tool. And it seems to be holding up much better. Just remember to move slowly so the bar sticks to the end of the tool as you remove and insert. I used…

Worked for Nissan - Air Conditioning Line Repair Tools

Used for 2015 Nissan Versa Note and it worked fine. I used the smaller tip for the bottom and connected it to the valve or held it in place with no problem. I would just make sure whatever you screw in is tight to avoid leaks and it worked great. I noticed a small leaf while using water to see if the valve was leaking and it was very small. The shop I used didn't find this leak either and I replaced the valve for less than $25. Those who say they need lube to hold the valve in place are…

Fits my 2006 Jeep Liberty Renegade with some modifications

Fits my 2006 Jeep Liberty Renegade with some modifications. For the shredder valve on the high pressure side, the smaller blue assembly worked well. I placed the flanged end in a vise and tightened slightly to allow the new valve to snap and hold in place. I also used some white lube to keep it in place. It took a few attempts to change the technique, but I succeeded. For the low pressure side (see fig 2) I put the blue socket on the red valve because the Schrader valve is larger. I also…

holds pressure, hard to get valve out, balls want to break out

So screwing valves in or out works very well, but getting it back out is a hassle: I had to squeeze the pins a bit with pliers, and use sticky silicone gel to pull the valve up. Maybe the Subaru dealer supplied cheap valves which also explains why they failed after only 1 year. So first take the piston out of the assembly and test it on the valve you want to remove. Adjust the tines until they "hold". I tried magnetizing the tip but it didn't work. If you pull the collar all the way, at least…

A little cumbersome but inexpensive and functional

When the low pressure side valve on my truck started leaking I had to decide between this tool and the excellent (but 4x the price) Mastercool kit. I'm no longer a professional mechanic, the choice was obvious. I paid $30 versus $125 for the Mastercool set. As a result, this tool is not that good. Reviews that it will not hold a removed valve core are 100% correct. It took me half a dozen tries to get the coil off my truck. Finally I had to put a drop of petroleum grease on the end of the valve

Disappointing.: Tools and Equipment

I was hoping for an inexpensive and easy to use reliable tool kit to replace the AC valve core. This corresponds to only low costs. When I opened the box I understood why there were so many complaints about valve cores not coming out with the tool. The valve end of the tool did not fit the valves at all, very loose. However, I was hoping that following the "vacuum lubrication" instructions would work. I had to try 5 times but ended up removing my JRA valve from the bottom sideline and…

manufacturing defect. Not removable or installable

Both high and low pressure tools do not hold shredder valves in any way and therefore cannot remove or install valves. The tool has a manufacturing defect that causes the gap between the two small lugs (for lack of a better term) at the end of the positioning rod that would normally "grab" the Schrader valve to be too large to accommodate the valve to keep effective. This malfunction is immediately apparent when using the shredder valves included in the kit. Where is the quality guarantee? It…
