Update: the seller replaced the defective board and they are otherwise in 6 months everything worked perfectly - 5 Stars! I recently bought 4 of these for a project. I'm currently buying more but thought I'd leave a note here about my experience. Out of the 4 boards, 3 work as expected with LoRa, OLED screen and can be connected to several other devices and use the battery connector to work. The other board appears to have a non-working screen and is causing some sort of short circuit/power…

Powerful board, great versatile features!

Great product! Compilation and upload times take a bit longer than Arduino boards, but it's worth it given the huge flash memory (32MB vs 512KB) and 240MHz dual-core vs 16-48MHz Single core processing. As a side note, if you can build a pure IDE Debian Linux machine (VM or standalone), compiling and downloading is very fast. Slight learning curve for the ESP32, but once you get the hang of it, it's well worth it. Also, use the LoRa library from the Heltec Github page, not the Arduino library…

Amazing little board but no good documentation

I'll start by saying that I'm a beginner when it comes to Arduino. I just bought my first Arduino Uno a few months ago. Before I bought this board I used an ESP8266 to create a project with 5 ESP8266 and temperature sensors, database logging and a web interface. Since the ESP8266 was fairly easy to set up and run, I felt like I could get this board up and running quickly. I can report that I spent a lot of time finding good documentation and examples for this board. Everything I've tried so far

Wi-Fi and Lora working

Board version (before September 2018): I have several of these devices with Wi-Fi and 915MHz Lora. If you use one as a WiFi hotspot and Lora, the others will only send data to the hotspot with Lora. Arduino IDE 1.8 with the Radiohead RF95 Lora library and the Oled library they recommend. I have never tried BlueTooth. The good ones: 1. It works as advertised 2. Factory library and sketches.3. No problem with ESP32 WiFi Shared Library and Sketches.4. The coloring of the pin assignment is good…

I was excited to use this little gem. So many possibilities in such a small package, I think this will be my new desktop board. Will not damage this board unless you step on or drive over it. Includes: circuit board, antenna and rows of pins. All in their own anti-static bags. Assembly: No assembly is required unless you require soldered pins. The antenna connector is easy to install by pressing the connector with your finger. Setup: This took the most effort as I am using the Arduino IDE and…
