Purchased an ECM troubleshooting guide for a 50hp Mercury engine. In 2007 I followed the instructions and found a low oil sensor and an overheat sensor. I tested both, they worked fine. Went to Bass Pro to speak to the Mercury mechanic. All in all, this engine has no ECM. Two switches and that's it. An acoustic signal only sounds when one of the two switches is actuated.
