Good tool but not as pictured

This puller works exactly as described, I used mine to clutch a Honda CB175 starter motor to see it in action see video link. The only reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because the picture of the item when purchased showed a T-handle which the item doesn't have, it's basically just a hardened screw. Link to video: [.]

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Fits

Worked like a flywheel tool Charm

Worked as described, I used it to remove a flywheel on a Honda Rebel. Have not damaged the threads of the crank, and to avoid damaging the threads, tighten this bolt and, while it is loaded, strike the head of this bolt with a metal mallet to transmit the impact through the flywheel and crank surface . and the flywheel pops out with less pressure on the crankshaft.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • disappear

Do yourself a favor and buy a puller

I needed to replace the alternator on my '83 CB650 and tried removing the rotor but nothing worked. Bought the right tool (shocking I know) and it worked beautifully. How to use it: Pull the puller into the rotor by hand (don't want to cross the threads). After it is hand tight, take a wrench/ratchet and tighten it a little. Bit Take a hammer and hit the puller several times. The rotor should pop out immediately.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

The product differs from the picture, but works great.

I would have given 5 stars but the product was not as pictured. This pen did not exist. That being said, this product served its purpose and given the force it took me to get the flywheel off, I'm glad it didn't have that button. I used a socket wrench and it was easy. So 4 stars for a tool that fits, is well made and helped a lot with the task. -1 star for an image that doesn't match the product.

Pros
  • High test results for hold and durability
Cons
  • Expensive

good enough for some applications.

the picture doesn't match. The tool I got had a tapered end that was supposed to match the taper on the flywheel. However, since this tool is not bike specific, the taper is not the same. This is quite normal if your flywheel is not causing pain. The smallest diameter at the top of the cone is all that touched my crankshaft. And it seemed to wedge into the blunt cone of my crankshaft. Do not want it. Also, it was too long for my application. The shorter, the better for transferring hammer…

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
