🔧 Enhanced Motorcraft FA1884 Air Filter for Improved Performance Review

I'm done with aftermarket oil cones and replacement filters. Waste of time, money and effort. You're not getting any noticeable power or mileage with them anyway, you're just oiling your intake sensors which leads to false readings and error codes. Paper filters are the best option. Cheap and easily replaceable.

In the end there is Motorcraft. This was also said on one of the folds. There are fewer wrinkles than on the supplied filter which he replaced. It's also 1/8 inch longer. This filter is black and the included filter is orange. I don't understand that it has fewer wrinkles. Everything seems fine, but I'm not sure if this is a real Ford.

that's what the manual said. The fit is very snug because the rubber lip sits high (since it's new I think) and I had to transform into the Incredible Hulk to put the 3-hole cap back on. I lifted the left side as high as I could and angled the right side so the tabs went in. Then gradually put in. Very complicated. Prepare your beast mode!

This air filter fits the 2012 Ford Taurus SHO, although Amazon says it doesn't fit. This is the same air filter that originally came with the car. The dealer takes $70. No way should anyone pay that much to install a $12 part. This is the easiest part to replace on your car and literally takes 3 minutes. If you don't know how to do it, watch a YouTube video. I'll stick with OEM parts.

I change it on our 2011 Explorer every third oil change (15,000 miles). The original from the factory was in pretty good shape after 25,000 miles. Note that I had a small oil breakthrough (3 teaspoons) but nothing out of the ordinary. The fit was pretty snug and I found the best way to install it was to loosen the air intake clamp and lift straight up. This should give you enough space for everything.

I installed about 6 of these Revain filters in my 2013 Ford Edge. It takes a bit of fiddling to install the filter each time . air box. Well, the last order just doesn't fit no matter how much I trim the gasket. It won't really lay flat in the box as it's just too long. I had a FRAM air filter in it and can easily drop that thing all day. I got frustrated trying to fit them and switched to another brand.

Bought for my 18 Explorer Sport. I've always been told to look out for counterfeit Motorcraft parts, but so far I've never had a problem. I have included two photos with this review and you can see how sloppy and poor the sealing surface is on this filter I purchased compared to a proven Motorcraft filter that was dealer installed. It may or may not be important, but I want to make sure the part you receive is the part and quality you are paying for. I hope this helps you decide.
