Bought this tool to remove the snap ring in the rear brake caliper on a 2002 Accord sedan. It didn't work, the ends are too thick to reach. What worked for me was to put the tip of an awl in one of the holes in the retaining ring and pull and the retaining ring popped out.

What this tool can do, no other can. I've been trying for what feels like forever to get the ring off the bike's master cylinder with regular snap ring pliers, but nothing has worked. This ring was removed in a few seconds. Make sure you're facing the right direction, coming off the back of the ring will tell you if you're trying to get it wrong.
