I thought the caulking gun had reached its technical maximum, but apparently I was wrong. Home and the gun just works. The benefit of this is that it feels light and also avoids overfilling. This is not a design flaw but a compromise for drip-free dispensing. Bottom line: It's not much more expensive than a standard caulking gun and you will see noticeable improvements achieve when applying rollers.If you are considering buying an electric caulking gun, I recommend trying this first.

The gun works well but getting the sealant cartridge in and out is a bit difficult as the piston doesn't return far enough. At best, it's a fight. One question is why they didn't create a little more space for the piston at the back. UPDATE: I've used this gun a few times and have found that with a full tube of caulk the gun applies evenly and smoothly. I have a large trim and paint project that requires very little caulking - a few thousand yards. Bought this Newborn 212 and a metal Newborn 930 GTD. My job has to be a lot bigger to justify buying an electric or air cartridge gun. Both guns are a big improvement over non-drip caulking guns as they reduce waste and mess caused by too much grout.
