Ideal for polishing wooden cabinets!

Just don't do this too often or you'll have stains from this rubbish on carpets, rags AND clothes that won't wash off completely in the laundry, take it with me! They also make wooden cabinets shine in the bathroom! Good thing it's not just varnish, THIS substance stains carpets, rags and clothes even worse!

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons

Old English never disappoints

I have been using this product for years. Recently, after not having them for a while, I noticed that my cage, which my mom fixed 40 years ago, looked a bit dull and also smelled musty from going ashore. I've used Old English on it before and it always looks updated. It seems to be one of the best wood products I've ever used. This is a very reasonable price for the size of the bottle.

  • The best

This oil leaves a silky sheen on furniture.

This lemon oil is the only finish I have ever applied to a solid ash dining table that I purchased many years ago. It used to take a lot of oil but now I apply it lightly 2-3 times a year to improve the texture of the wood and the patina of my beloved old family table. Also works well with teak. Do not put anything on the table (tablecloth) immediately after application. He needs a few hours to settle in. Now I only wear a light coat.

  • Outstanding Overall Performance

The thirsty soils got what they needed!

I don't usually write reviews but I'm too impressed not to! We have old hardwood floors and I could never make them look clean! It was so embarrassing! A friend suggested I try Old English Oil and oh my god I'm so happy I did! I've attached pictures from before, the floors always looked muddy and dry? And then the photo after 😍 I joked with my husband that our floors are thirsty! I've just put them on for the second time because they still looked a little dry, I'm so happy to see them so…

Works great on old cracked wood.

Ideal for restoring old cracked wood. I've used it on three wooden boxes and they look amazing. I thought the wood was all the same color, but it turned out that some were light brown, some were dark brown, and some were honey. The different colors in the forest are amazing now. The photos I added are too red for the original, this is my camera. but i will try to update the pics soon. But be warned, first seal the metal parts, remove rust with lemon oil. I'll finish the next one again. Also the

Used since 1976

This is the best and safest oil. They used to make an aerosol can, but it wasn't the same oil in a bottle at all. My parents bought an old pre-Civil War log cabin in 1950 and opened up one of the plaster walls. There were beautiful original oak walls. We had to be very careful when cleaning. By 1976 they had found Old English Lemon Oil, which cleaned the wood and left it looking new. We have also used it for teak floors in the kitchen and some other rooms in the house. Of course it added a…

  • New competitors are here

We pulled up the carpet and the wood underneath was dry and grey. This image shows a smear of Old English Lemon Oil. Easy to apply - I used a brush with an old cloth. We did this every day for a week for lasting and brilliant results. Slightly stained the first day, soaked through like some spots are drier than others. But after 3 days the results were smooth and consistent. After using Old English Lemon Oil for a week, we used Howard's Food and Waxed Wood Conditioner for two days. We…

Old English still works

As for polish for Old English furniture, my mother used it on our furniture in her day. I remember thinking and finally asking her why we didn't use a polishing spray like everyone else. She explained that the aerosol polish was very waxy and gave her furniture a decent finish. But that it doesn't clean furniture like Old English Furniture Polish. She used a spray from time to time, but when it came time to give the furniture a serious clean she would fetch a bottle of Old English furniture…
