Description of πŸ”₯ Enhanced OTC 6589 Spark Tester with Electronic Ignition

Simple, high quality tool designed to test high energy electronic ignition (HEI) systems. Simply attach plug wire to end then use built in clip to attach to ground. Tester will give you true spark performance results, helping you identify ignition anomalies that simply removing a plug and grounding it won't reveal. For use on vehicles and power equipment equipped with a high energy ignition system.

I have tested this product on two good working vehicles and it did not work.

I have tested this product on 2 good working cars and it has not produced any sparks at all. I'm not a professional mechanic, but I've worked with various ignition systems for decades and have a pretty good idea of what I'm doing. I also note that the image on the website is completely misleading if not outright false advertising. The image shows a clip labeled "Mueller Clip" and a test specimen made of steel labeled "Made in USA". You will receive a package named OTC, and it says "Made in…

The tester is good. It won't break the bank, and when you have the spark, you know you're going to be fine. This eliminates the need to measure sparks etc from other testers. If you don't have a spark and you're grounded properly, you know something is wrong. Before buying, I read several reviews, at least one complained about the spring mechanism that pushes the tester to the specified bottom. In truth, on first use, YES, it fell apart because the spring popped out, but that's only because the

An amazing tool, more important than you think.

Great tool, I don't even think about using a screwdriver or an extra spark plug to test the coils, the actual test is bigger. Coils sometimes like to loosen over time and sometimes cause misfires. You can't verify if it's 20% weaker than it should be. It will still seem like a good spark. Unless you're using an OTC spark tester, the coil must output a much higher voltage. Similar to high load conditions. Looks like I'm trying to sell this tool but today it saved me a lot of time on a 4 coil…
