Where is the quality control?

Bowls received and 5 gallon bowl have an internal defect, stainless steel bladder/pop up liner. I put it back as best I could. Is there a quality control of these goods? Customer service doesn't exist, it's a well-established scenario that someone else is blamed for a damaged product and other parties involved are blamed. In the end, it all boils down to poor delivery practices. I wonder what they were talking about?

Pros
  • Easy to use

  • Annoys me

Very good bowls, remember to wash them soon after each use.

As the title says these are very good bowls, just remember to clean them just after each use. If you allow food/water to remain on these bowls, others have reported and illustrated that they can rust, so I avoid this problem entirely by cleaning and drying them after each use. Been using them regularly for some time, no rust. . They held up really well with my hand mixer during the Thanksgiving holiday. Would buy again.

It rusts after a few uses

If it hadn't rusted I would have given it 5 stars. The base is grippy and well shaped, it has good grips, looks great, seems very solid and well made, and the sizes it came in were comfortable. But at the end of the day it rusted. Stated"stainless steel" and it clearly isn't. It's just another piece of steel disguised as stainless steel. It might not be OXO's fault, it might be their supplier. But they have a responsibility to ensure their suppliers are also QS compliant. A real shame. I'll…

Very practical bowls

I am very happy with this set. I spent more money on them than I wanted, but I'm glad I did. I had to swap out my heavy nested mixing bowl for a light one and they fit the bill. I like that they are insulated which allows me to safely handle the bowl after dipping hot liquid into it when making chicken broth. The lip is great for pouring liquids. There were no marks inside at all as I recently used a blender in it and the rubber base held the bowl in place. What takes some getting used to is…

Better than I expected

They have a nice bottom that keeps them from slipping and if you're making a salad in them the insulation will keep you cool. The inner shape is ideal for stirring with a whisk, folding with a spatula or large spoon. The rim gives you a place to hold onto. I really like her. For the lids I use the general purpose silicone lids available from Revain which are better than snap on lids as they are vacuum sealed and you can use them on other bowls. Don't worry about the (very) few negative reviews…

I love mine and use them so often that I bought a second set!

Okay, you may think $60 is a lot for a set of three bowls, but listen to me. If you're a bit clumsy or accident prone, or if you run around the kitchen so fast that sometimes things "mysteriously" fall to the floor, then these bowls are made for you. They are almost impossible to bring down. Think back to the weeble wobbles you played with as a kid. The rubber grip on the weighted base has saved me from SO MANY accidents where a bowl slipped over the counter and spilled/tipped over. I think…

  • Not cheap but decent

Perfection in mixing bowls

I wanted to replace my heavy glass mixing bowls with something lighter. They became too much to handle as I got older and got arthritis in my hands. These bowls were the perfect solution. They make mixing a lot easier. I can hold the largest bowl in one hand and scoop out the contents with a spoon. The rim gives me something to hook into to keep it from slipping. The stainless steel interior is easy to clean. They take up no more space than my old glass bowls. The non-slip bottom keeps them on…

Nice. Happy to use.

I saw these great OXO mixing bowls but was a little hesitant to buy them because of the price. But in the end I dared and am very satisfied with this set. I like the colors (I bought the blue/grey set). I like the overall feel. It's way better than my stainless steel bowls, which were functional yet simple. It looks like a premium piece in hand with a nice lip. The bowls have a silicone bottom so they are pretty durable during use which is great. They're easy to clean, which also means pouring…
