No rust Hoping for a hand tool

Need a screwdriver for a boat that won't rust. Time will tell if it is. I don't like long pieces but if they don't rust I'll get over the odd design. Seems a bit of a hassle, but then again I'll take care of it if they last

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Crumpled

A little loose, but overall ok for the price

Fits well in the hand, bits are a good length, feel solid. However, compared to the two Megapros I have, the bits are quite loose in the shaft. Hopefully the finish they added to the steel will protect the kit from rusting.

The Canadians have mastered the multidriver.

Expensive multidrivers, especially when you can get decent models for $1, but this one stands out because it's significantly better. I've been using the standard version for a while since I brought it to Home Depot in Ontario and wanted the waterproof version to stay in my truck. My previous multi drivers stopped working when they rusted. I recommend this driver.

  • Few competitors

Mariner - Full Size 7-in-1 Multi-Bit Stainless Screwdriver

I first saw this brand of screwdriver at my local Fry's. They are of high quality and the fact that all the bits are in the handle makes them very useful. They fit snugly around the handle so you don't have to worry about losing them. I now have a few of each type they make. I keep them in my car, in my EDC bag, in my kitchen drawer, etc. Would recommend to everyone as everyone needs a good screwdriver.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

heavenly screw. the driver made a mistake.

I would like to make this review a long time, but I won't. Our northern neighbors, on the other hand, have almost mastered the multifunction screwdriver. Size range, assortment of bits, a range of colors (for specific models if you like it). This is my second PicQuic, my first "Mariner". The other model I have is the "Super 8 Plus" and has only one complaint; Double-sided stock that turned out on the 5/16 side. This essentially renders it useless when torque/any force is applied. The Mymariner…

Worth buying

Now I have four of these screwdrivers. One for my usual tool box; short for my toolkit; a Mariner Rustproof model for my boat tool box and a slim version of the full-size model for a drawer around the house. Screwdriver handle holds all bits securely; Bits are easy to see without removing them from the handle; there is no cover to unscrew and lose; the product is very well made. Also, I don't think they're made in China (I think they're made in Canada) so that's a bonus too. t AUTOMATIC saves…

Nice to meet you Pikkik!

I had never heard of this brand until I saw it on Kevin Kelly's Cool Tools blog. I'm glad I saw it. I thought it was an interesting design so I bought one as a gift for my friend who is an instrument enthusiast. He loved it. So I got one too! I couldn't resist when I was convinced of the quality and sophistication of the product. It's so comfortable and works great. All bits are stored in the handle, plus an extra bit positioned on the tip of the screwdriver. If you want to switch to a Phillips

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not automatic

In short, the only stainless steel in this screwdriver is the shaft, which is also the only problem with this screwdriver. The bits aren't stainless steel, but they're highly corrosion-resistant, and the lack of stainless steel is a good thing. You don't actually need stainless steel bits. There are some exceptions, but in general, stainless steel is generally much less durable than other types of steel - your screwdriver won't last long. The bits are standard Picquic bits which are themselves…
