I have ordered 5mm shelf pins. However, the label said 5mm but it didn't match the description. Those were 3mm rivets. They were too small and didn't fit in the holes. So I had to send them back and get a refund.

Needed to move adjustable shelves in my closets. There were plastic brackets holding shelves that had to be torn down. These pins worked great, good quality metal (nickel I think?). Tools are not required.

Just find a line where the bottom of your shelf will be and drill there. The flat is designed to lie on the center line of the peg. Drill a hole so the entire pin fits in the hole so the shelf can be cut to the width of the cabinet.

We moved the metal pins to one of our shelves. I knew Revane would sell these things! I ordered this batch and they fit the shelf holes and support the shelves well. The tuning pegs feel solid in the hand - they don't feel cheap.

This is an incredibly good deal. If I go to my local hardware store I'll pay that much for just four or eight pins. I have 50 pieces of the same quality as the local one. They are ziploc packed so I can save them for later. That's why Revane is so good. But beyond that, the seller offered me a lot and fast service.

The plastic shelves that come with many homemade shelves tend to break when you move the shelves around the shelf. I find it better to have a few on hand than the plastic ones. They don't break and I rarely have trouble fitting them into pre-drilled holes in the shelf.
