UPDATE: 12/24/2020 I've driven my car 2700 miles since I've had this adapter and I'm completely satisfied with it. It does what it's supposed to and always keeps the engine in V8 mode. I dived from Oklahoma to Colorado with no problems. In terms of fuel economy, before I had this adapter my average was 16.5mpg (calculated by hand, not with a computer) and after driving 1600 miles it averaged 15.5mpg, so brace yourself no worries about loss of efficiency. Just so everyone knows my truck has done 63,000 miles. Installed it on my truck within 4 days. To be honest, I personally haven't noticed any improvement in my truck's performance.
