Nothing beats years of use

These floor cleaners from Scotch-Brite are hard to find and cost a little more, but we've never found another brand that worked as well and was easy to clean. The pad is more like a microfiber terry towel and cleaning hardwood floors with a damp cloth will give you a nice finish. You don't have to deal with velcro or glue. The cleaning head has a button and is foldable, so the pad slides off easily. We order extra pads and wash them with other patch towels. Many years in use.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

Light, easy-to-change cloths

I use it more as a wet mop and it cleans the floors well and collects everything that the vacuum cleaner misses. What I like most about this mop is how easy it is to change rags. The mop head folds in half with the push of a button, so you can easily remove it and put on a new one. The button is large so you can open and close it with your foot (for those who may have arthritis in their hands). The mop is light. Covers a good area. When not in use, there is a hole at the top of the handle to…

Great mop but it needs to be made from alternative materials.

I really like this mop but wish it had a more durable construction. Most of the nozzle is made of plastic and will break over time. I would pay more for a metal version of the same mop, it's really easy to switch attachments to go from mopping hardwood floors to mopping walls and ceilings. . If I could buy this durable mop I would give 5 stars. I bought 2 mops and 4 extra heads to replace those disposable swiffer cloths. Trying to generate as little garbage as possible is the main goal here…

HAS BEEN DAMAGED TWICE NOW JUST THANKS TO AMAZON FOR LOSSING MY MONEY

About a month ago I ordered one of these mops which I LOVE so much. Arrived damaged, a part was missing so I couldn't use it. It's okay, anything can happen. So I ordered another one and now the top part of the mop handle has broken off because it snapped and broke on the first use. A few years ago I could buy these floor mops and mop heads in real brick and mortar. Now that Revain has taken over, the quality is just lacking. I'm not sure if this is happening in Revain distribution centers or…

Household wet cleaning

I only used it for dry cleaning, thinking that's what it's for. When trying to use it for wet cleaning I was disappointed. It doesn't scrub very well, it just glides over everything. If your floor is really dirty (lots of kids/pets/spills) you most likely won't find this very helpful. When using it I had to rinse the pad out as I only have one pad and it's not fun at all. It was difficult to take off/put on as the head dangled when trying to put the pillow on the end. Having to rinse out the…

Not just for hardwoods!

This is our second Scotch Brite mop. The first one is many years old and still works, but we wanted to keep it specifically for the kitchen. I like the design of the head. Putting on and taking off fresh covers is very easy. The turning movement is unmatched. The rod, however, is the usual crap that happens with household mops. Ours was immediately abandoned in favor of an adjustable color bar, as we did with the first. Used with a sprayer these are really good general purpose mops for anything

  • There are even more interesting options.

This mop is great. I've been looking closely at reviews of hardwood floor mops as we just replaced hardwood floors in the kitchen and laundry room due to a leaking dishwasher. This mop picks up dust even better than my vacuum; I used to go insane vacuuming, thinking I'd removed every speck of dust when there was more before I mopped. The comments to order two more microfiber cases are spot on; I use one for "dusting", another for mopping, and a third in case I'm late with my laundry. This mop…

Best and fastest floor cleaning system

A few tips to make the Scotch-Brite floor cleaning affordable, efficient and the cheapest I've found so I never have to kneel. I have used it on laminate and tile floors after finding the product in a large store many years ago. We live on a farm with a big house with a couple of kids, cats and dogs, and yet the kitchen and mud bath only takes 15 minutes. Use a dry Scotch-Brite mop to sweep all floors. This is quick and the mop gets under the furniture and sometimes under the appliances. Use…
